Ingredients to make condensed milk cake:

  • 150 grams of cookies
  • 80 grams of butter
  • 250 grams of condensed milk
  • 300 milliliters of heavy cream or whipping cream
  • 5 sheets of neutral gelatin
  • 2 cookies to decorate

How to make condensed milk cake:

  1. Put the gelatin sheets in a bowl or plate with cold water and leave them for about 10 minutes to hydrate.
  2. To make the cookie base, crush the cookies with the help of a robot until they are pulverized. You can also do this step by hand by putting the cookies in a plastic bag and rolling them over.
  3. Melt the butterin the microwave for a few seconds and mix it with the cookies until it is like wet sand. If necessary, you can add a little more butter.
  4. With this mixture of cookies, cover the bottom of a removable round or elongated mold of about 18-20 cm.
  5. Cover the base and the walls and with the help of a spoon press the cookie dough so that it is very compact.
  6. Put the mold in the fridge to continue with the condensed milk cake recipe.
  7. Put the milk in a bowl and heatit in the microwave for 1 minute at 600 W or over the heat, but do not let it boil, just heat it up.
  8. Drain the gelatin sheets well and add them to the hot condensed milk, stirring well until they dissolve. Let this mixture cool down a bit.
  9. In another bowl, add the very cold cream and assemble itwith some electric rods or an electric hand mixer.
  10. At this point you can add about 50 grams of sugar if you like very sweet desserts.
  11. Go adding the condensed milk mixture to the whipped creamlittle by little and mixing with smooth movements.
  12. In this way, the condensed milk cake will not lose volume and will be creamy and fluffy.
  13. Take out the mold with the cookie base, pour the mixture into it and smooth the surface of the cake.
  14. Put it in the fridge for 3-4 hours or leave it overnight.
  15. You can decorate the condensed milk cake with crushed biscuits when curdled, with chocolate shavings, grated coconut.
