Colombian Mixed Rice Recipe

Mixed rice with three meats is typical of Colombia, a dish widely used in family meals such as quinces or Mother’s Day. I remind you that mixed rice consists of three different types of meat, which gives it its special flavor.

Ingredients to make Colombian Mixed Rice:

  • 500 grams of Rice
  • 750 grams of pork
  • 1 unit of boneless chicken breast
  • 500 grams of Carrot
  • 500 grams of Beans
  • 600 grams of canned peas
  • 10 units of Sausages or Hose
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 jet of Oil
  • 1 pinch of Color with spices
  • 1 jet of soy sauce or soya

How to make Colombian Mixed Rice:

  1. Before starting to cook, as always the first step is to prepare the ingredients.
  2. Cook the rice as you have already been taught, in the traditional way.

  4. Cut the carrots and beans into small pieces and cook separately.
  5. Remember that vegetables are made in boiling water with a pinch of salt.
  6. Keep an eye on the cooking times because it may not take the same time for the carrots and the beans to be tender.
  7. In a hot frying pan, fry the meat with salt and color spices.
  8. Also chop the sausages and add them to the pan along with the rest of the meats.
  9. Separately, mix the white rice with the vegetables in a pot, all already cooked.
  10. Add the meats and stir so that the ingredients are distributed evenly.
  11. On the other hand, in a little water, dilute the soy sauce and add it to the pot with the rice, mix well
