  • 250 grams of ground meat
  • 3 units of red tomatoes
  • 2 bunches of long onion
  • 4 units of Creole Potatoes (yellow in color)
  • 5 grams of fresh coriander
  • 1 pinch of garlic paste
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of Cumin

How to make Colombian Lentils with Ground Beef:

1 The first step to make the Colombian lentil recipe is to pre-list the ingredients.

2 Remove the water where the lentils were soaked and add them to a pot with 3 cups of water, or until you see that the water covers them completely. Let them cook for approximately 15 minutes.

3 Meanwhile, we are going to make the base of our preparation. To do this, cut very finely or process the long onion.

4 Add the onion and crushed tomato to a pan and fry over medium heat with a little sunflower oil.

5 Once you notice that the lentils are soft, add the Creole potato in very small squares to the pot.

6 When you see that the sauce is almost ready, add the ground meat with salt and pepper to taste.

7 Add a bit of thyme to taste, garlic paste and cumin to the meat for an extra kick of flavor.

8 Once you see that the preparation of Colombian lentils is well established, leave it to conserve over low heat for 10 more minutes so that the flavors are concentrated. Mix the meat with the lentils and integrate all the ingredients very well. Let it conserve for 10 more minutes and we will be ready to serve.

Serve the Colombian lentils by sprinkling some fresh coriander on top. If you want as something additional you can add sausages. Prepare an exquisite queen arm to serve as a dessert accompanied by a good coffee and complete your Colombian menu.
