Colombian Drunken Beans Recipe

In this recipe we are going to make a recipe for typical Colombian beans. To make them, we will make a base stew, to which we will add beer to finish cooking. It is a simple process that results in an exquisite dish, ideal for cold seasons. Read on and cook these delicious Colombian drunken beans.

Ingredients to make Colombian drunken beans:

  • 300 grams of red beans
  • 250 grams of pork bacon
  • 6 units of sausages
  • 1 unit of Carrot
  • 150 grams of long onion
  • 1 unit of green banana
  • 2 units of Beer
  • 4 units of red tomatoes
  • 1 unit of white onion
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh coriander
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 pinch of garlic paste

How to make Colombian Brach Beans:

1 The first step to make our drunken beans recipe is to pre-list the ingredients.

2 You must hydrate the kidney beans with enough water the night before they are prepared.

3 The next day, take it to a deep pot with enough water, discarding the water in which we hydrated the beans and adding new water. Add salt, black pepper, a little bay leaf and thyme to taste. Cook beans until soft and set aside.

4 In a separate deep pot, add the long onion, the white onion and the tomato in very fine squares.

5 Add a little sunflower oil, salt, black pepper and garlic paste to taste. Sauté until you make a base sauce for our drunken beans.

6 Add the bacon in medium squares and the chopped sausages, sauté with the previous base sauce for a few minutes.

7 Cover the preparation with the beers until all the ingredients are bathed.

8 Add the green plantain in squares and the cooked beans so that we can finish cooking the Colombian beans.

9 Finally, add the grated carrot to give our recipe a little thickness and let it cook for 15 minutes over low heat, or until you notice that the beans are already firm.

10 Serve Colombian drunk beans hot. These beans have an excellent flavor, since cooking them with beer gives the recipe a special touch. Add the fresh cilantro to each of the dishes and that’s it. You can serve with white rice or a warm potato salad.
