Cold Pasta Salad with Tuna Recipe

If you want to prepare a cold pasta salad with tuna in a few minutes, take a look at the instructions and you will discover how easy and fast it is to cook this dish of colored pasta salad with tuna with spirals. If you prefer, you can use any other type of short pasta, but I like pasta salads with tuna to have a lot of color. Take advantage!

Ingredients to make cold pasta salad with tuna:

  • 500 grams of colored spirals
  • ½ can of green olives
  • ½ can of black olives
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 lettuce
  • 4 cans of prickly pear in oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ red bell pepper
  • 1 splash of vinegar (optional)

How to make Cold Pasta Salad with Tuna:

The first thing we have to do to prepare this cold pasta salad with tuna is to boil the pasta. To do this, fill a pot with water and a pinch of salt, bring it to a boil and when it boils, cook the pasta for about 8 minutes until it is al dente. When the water is drained, place it in the same spot where it was cooked, add the oil (only the oil) from 2 of the 4 cans of tuna, mix everything well and reserve for later, so the pasta salad with tuna will be taster.

Tip: You can use spirals, bows, macaroni, ravioli or any other type of short pasta.

While the pasta is cooking, pull out a few lettuce leaves, clean them well, and chop them into smaller pieces.

Trick: You can use iceberg, French, long lettuce or whatever you like best.

Also, wash and chop the tomato and red pepper into small pieces. They do not have to be perfect since they are to be mixed in the colored pasta salad with tuna. Then cut the green and black olives into slices and mix them also with the cooked pasta.

To serve your cold pasta salad with tuna, first place a few lettuce leaves on the base and then top with the rest of the mixed ingredients. Finish by placing the tuna in oil on top and dress it with a little more salt and a dash of vinegar if you like.
