Cold mackerel recipe

Ingredients to make cold mackerel:

  • 4 medium mackerels
  • 1 chopped onion with cloves
  • laurel
  • thyme
  • oregano
  • Salt
  • 1/4 of a liter of mayonnaise
  • 1 pepper
  • parsley
  • a little tomato sauce

How to make cold Mackerels:

  1. In a saucepan, put water, onion, herbs and salt. Clean the mackerels and when the water boils, add them to the saucepan and leave them until they are cooked (about 8-10 minutes), remove them from the heat and while they are still hot, remove the bones and skin, remove two fillets from each one.
  2. Spread the fillets with mayonnaise and put them in the fridge for about 4 hours. Serve them with mayonnaise and decorate with pepper, tomato sauce and parsley.
