Cod with Milk Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients to make Cod with Milk Potatoes:

  • 250 gr. code
  • 1 kg. of potatoes
  • milk
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 large ripe tomato
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • A few sprigs of Cilantro
  • salted
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • peppers

How to make Cod with Milk Potatoes:

  1. Prepare the ingredients.
  2. Salt the cod, at least one day before: Put it in a container with water, changing it approximately every 8 hours, always keeping the fish in the refrigerator so that it does not get damaged.
  3. Peel and cut the potatoes into medium cubes. Boil them for a few minutes and reserve.
  4. Finely chop the onion, pepper and tomato. Crush the garlic.
  5. Heat a little olive oil in a pan and blanch the onion, pepper and garlic.
  6. After a few minutes add the tomato. Season with salt, pepper and mix.
  7. Add the pre-cooked potatoes, half the milk and the same amount of water. Season again and mix. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  8. Add the fish previously seasoned with pepper.
  9. Add the rest of the milk, a dash of paprika and the chopped cilantro. Recover and cook until the fish is tender and all the flavors come together, about 10 minutes.
  10. Serve very hot and enjoy!
