To make these cod canapés we will use the same ingredients as for the cod and avocado salad, but we will present them in a different and original way. When making canapés for parties or special gatherings, it is important to use everything we have on hand and if you don’t want to waste a lot of time in the kitchen, you will like this easy and delicious recipe without a doubt!
Ingredients to make cod Canapés:
- 60 grams of desalted dried cod
- 1 unit of Tomato
- ½ unit of Avocado
- 1 pinch of pepper
- 1 jet of olive oil
- 1 pinch of dried oregano

How to make Cod Canapés:
1 Once you have listed all the ingredients, the first thing you should do is finely chop the cod. Remember that it must be crumbled and desalted, although if you don’t get it this way, ready to consume, you can desalt it yourself.
2 Apart, cut the tomato finely, removing all the seeds, and mix with oil, pepper and oregano. Stir everything well and let it marinate a bit while we continue preparing the rest of the ingredients.
3 Cut the avocado and mash as if you wanted to make a puree. Add a few drops of lemon to prevent it from oxidizing and remember not to add any salt because the cod will already add enough to the canapés.
4 Finally, add the cod to the same bowl where you have the tomato and mix well.
5 To assemble the cod canapés, first spread each toast with a little of the mashed avocado. Remember that you can use any type of canapés such as vol-au- vents or crackers.
Tip: If you use toast, prepare the canapés at the moment, since the bread can quickly become moist with the avocado.
