- 1 pinch of oregano
How to make Cod and Avocado Salad:
Once you have gathered all the ingredients to prepare this gourmet recipe, the first step is to crumble and finely cut the dried cod. Remember that it must be discouraged. Next, cut the avocado into small cubes. The amount of avocado depends on how much you like it; you can use the whole avocado or half if it is very big.
Do the same with the tomato, discarding the seeds. Once everything is cut, mix it with a little oil, pepper and oregano, as if you were trying to make a tomato bruschetta.
Tip: Do not add any salt; remember that even if it is desalted, the cod has a strong flavor.
To assemble the cod and avocado salad we will use a metal cylinder to serve. This is a display option, so if you don’t have one of these doesn’t worry. So, the tomato will be the base so add everything to the bottom of the ring and press well.
Then add the cod and press so that this second layer is well compacted. Remember that if you don’t have the metal ring you can mix all the ingredients. Finally add the avocado, which will be the last layer of the salad. In this way we will have an elegant plate with three layers of different colors.
Carefully remove the plating ring and decorate the cod and avocado salad with a few potato sticks. This fresh salad is perfect served as a starter or even eaten as a main dish.
