Christmas Fruit Punch

Ingredients to make Christmas Fruit Punch:

  1. 8 slices of Walnut Pancake
  2. 50 grams of Jamaican
  3. ¼ kilogram of Tamarind without shell
  4. 70 grams of raisins
  5. 150 grams of Prunes
  6. 300 grams of Tejocotes
  7. ½ kilogram of Guava
  8. 3 pieces of sugar cane
  9. 4 pieces of yellow apple
  10. 100 grams of Piloncillo
  11. 2 cinnamon sticks
  12. 3 liters of water

How to make Christmas Fruit Punch:

  • To start preparing this delicious Christmas punch, the first thing is to prepare all the fruit. To do this, wash and cut the hawthorns in half, removing all the seeds. Also wash the guavas and cut them into four, as with the sugar cane and apples. This recipe includes Piqué with Walnut because it is the ideal combination for this drink.
  • Next, put the tamarind to boil together with the Jamaica. After about ten minutes, pass through a strainer and reserve the water from these fruits.
  • Separately, boil the water together with the piloncillo, the cinnamon, the hawthorns and the sugar cane. Wait 5 minutes once it starts to boil and add the apple to the preparation along with the rest of the ingredients, including the tamarind and Jamaica water.
  • Trick: If you can’t find piloncillo, you can replace it with Mascavado sugar without problems.
  • Cook the punch over medium heat, making sure that neither the apple nor the guava fall apart.
