Christmas Appetizer Recipe – Sausage Boots

  • 2 units of sausages
  • 10 drops of red food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon of Mayonnaise
  • ½ cup of Parmesan Cheese

How to make Christmas Appetizers – Sausage Boots:

1 To start preparing these Christmas appetizers, the first thing we will do is cook the sausages in boiling water for about 10 minutes.

2 Once ready, drain the water from the pot. Leave a few drops of water and add the drops of food coloring. Stir and let the sausages brown for a few minutes. The sausages should be completely red.

Tip: You can use any color food coloring you like for these easy appetizers. I have decided to make the typical red Christmas boots.

3 Then cut the ends of the sausages crosswise and the rest in half, as seen on the whole. Two boots should come out of each sausage.

4 To assemble the boots, prick with a toothpick a tip and a piece of the center of the sausage, they should fit perfectly. Take a look at the photo.

5 Separately, prepare a sauce by mixing the mayonnaise with the Parmesan cheese. This will help us to make the white edge of the boots, the cheese will give it a rough texture perfect for the occasion. If you want to add color you can use dyes.

6 To finish, dip the tops of the boots into the sauce to make the white part of the boots. Repeat the process with all the sausage boots you have.
