Chorizo and cheese pizza recipe

Do you know someone who resists a good piece of pizza? If it is also homemade, success is assured! I share my recipe for chorizo and cheese pizza, great! And very easy to prepare. It’s not exactly light, but shared and accompanied by a good salad is not a bad option for a weekend lunch or dinner. I hope you like it!

Ingredients to make Chorizo and Cheese Pizza:

  • 1 homemade pizza dough
  • 1 roll goat cheese
  • 200 grams of smoked camorra cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of fried tomato
  • 1 small onion
  • 200 grams of chorizo
  • 1 teaspoon oregano

How to make Chorizo and Cheese Pizza:

  1. To prepare thepizza base, we follow the step-by-step of the fluffy pizza dough with dry yeast that I shared a few weeks ago.
  2. If you have it frozen from a previous occasion, we must take it out of the freezer the night before and leave it in the refrigerator to thaw.
  3. Tip:You can also buy ready-made pizza dough at the supermarket.
  4. We slightly knead our pizza dough and with the help of a kitchen rolling pin we spread it on a baking paper or a silicone sheet that allows us to move it easily and put it on the oven tray when we have it stretched.
  5. At the base of the pizza we put a few tablespoons of fried tomato or homemade tomato sauce and spread.
  6. Sprinkle with oregano or Provencal herbs to give it a little flavor.
  7. Peel the onion and cut it into thin strips. We spread it over the tomato sauce.
  8. Chop the chorizo and spread it over the onion bed.
  9. Cut the camorra cheese into cubes and put it on top of the chorizo. Finally we split the goat cheese roll into medallions and place them on top of the pizza to our liking.
  10. Place the chorizo and onion pizza in the preheated oven at 180ºC and bake until the edges look golden and crisp and the cheese is golden.
  11. It will depend on the oven but it will take 30 to 40 minutes.
  12. Turn off the oven, take out the chorizo and cheese pizza, wait a few minutes for it to warm up, cut, serve and enjoy!
