Ingredients to make Chocotorta Alfajor:

  • 40 grams of chocolates
  • 30 grams of butter
  • 60 grams of pastry dulce de leche
  • 40 grams of spreadable cheese
  • 30 grams of chocolate

How to make Chocotorta Alfajor:

  1. The first step to start with the chocotorta alfajores recipe is to grind the cookies. You can do it in a bag, crushing them with a rolling pin or in a food processor
  2. Mix the cookie crumbs with the melted butter to get a wet sand-like consistency.
  3. With this preparation, make the base of your alfajores in silicone molds. Next, cook in the strong oven for 5 minutes so that they become crispy. Let it cool.
  4. Tip: if you prefer not to use the oven, you can also take them to the freezer for about 15 minutes, they will harden anyway. Be careful when unmolding, you could cover the molds with film to prevent them from breaking.
  5. Mix the dulce de leche with thespreadable cheese to make the classic chocotorta filling and, in this case, the filling for your alfajores.
  6. Try not to be tempted to try it as we need it for the next step!
  7. Distribute the mixture on the already cold cookie bases and take it to the fridge for at least 15 minutes so that it takes consistency.
  8. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a water bath.
  9. Add the chocolate over the chocotorta filling, as a second cover of your alfajores and take it to the cold again to dry.
  10. When it’s cold, unmold and enjoythese delicious chocotorta alfajores.
