How to make Chocolate Truffles for Kids – Halloween Desserts:

  • How fun to make truffles for children! This recipe for truffles for Halloween is so simple that even they can help you prepare it. Who will enjoy it more, the big ones or the little ones? Let’s do it! First, organize the work table, that will facilitate the preparation and the little ones will learn how important order is when working in the kitchen.
  • Place the cream cheese in a deep bowl. Stir the cheese until you get an even cream. Halloween dessert recipes are great for kids learning to cook, so take the opportunity.
  • Use a bowl to crush the Oreo cookies. You can use the mortar, a food processor, a kitchen hammer, blender or a manual mixer, the alternatives are many. You can even put the cookies in a bag and flatten with a rolling pin, kitchen hammer, stone or even with your hands. In the kitchen there are no limits, except those that are for your safety.
  • Oreo cookies are great for many easy kid-friendly desserts. Of course, avoid eating them before finishing the recipe for chocolate truffles for Halloween!
  • Let’s mix! Stir the crushed cookies very well with the cream cheese until a homogeneous mixture is achieved. Then, refrigerate the mixture for 20 minutes. No one doubts that easy Halloween recipes for children are part of the celebration, which is why we always encourage making them as a family.
  • The funniest part of the recipe has arrived! We are going to create small sculptures to form the chocolate truffles for children. Thus, make balls with the mixture you prepared. The ideal size is a bite. Try putting one in your mouth… how difficult! Then, refrigerate the truffles in the fridge or refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  • Chocolate time! The most attractive desserts to make with children always contain chocolate. For our Halloween chocolate truffles recipe you need to melt the chocolate in a bain-marie, but you can also use the microwave. For the bain-marie, use a large saucepan and a smaller one, pour water until it covers 3/4 parts of the smaller pot, then stir until the chocolate melts and let cool, until it is heated but without getting too cold. Then pour into a container and reserve.
  • Dip the Halloween truffles into the white chocolate I recommend using a plastic fork since you only have to break the two middle prongs to use it as a tool. If you don’t have one, use a spoon.
  • Place the kids’ chocolate truffles on parchment paper or aluminum foil to prevent them from sticking or breaking when removed. Remember that to place them without breaking them, help yourself with a spoon.
  • To decorate the chocolate truffles for Halloween and give them the shape of a mummy, you can use a plastic bag as a piping bag, if you don’t have this tool. You just have to open a small hole at the bottom, at one of the ends, and insert the chocolate through the bag. Then, create horizontal lines first on the truffles. Put the dark chocolate drops to simulate the eyes of the mummy, create other horizontal lines over the eyes and, finally, make several crossed lines, as if they were bandages.
  • How fun, delicious and original are these chocolate truffles for children. Perfect for Halloween! You can serve them on an appropriate tray for the festivity or in wrappers on your table decorated with other Halloween desserts.
