Ingredients to make Chocolate Sausage:

  • 300 grams of dessert chocolate
  • 90 grams of butter
  • 150 grams of Maria biscuits (¾ package)
  • 60 milliliters of milk (¼ cup)
  • 60 grams of almonds
  • 1 pot of icing sugar

How to make Chocolate Sausage:

  1. In a bowl put the chocolate and butter. Melt it in the microwave at 600 W in 1 minute time intervals so that the chocolate does not burn.
  2. Add the milk to the bowl and mix well.
  3. Break the cookies into small to medium pieces.
  4. Add them to the chocolate bowl and, with a spatula, stir well and mix until the cookies are well integrated with the chocolate.
  5. Chop the almonds into pieces and add them to the mixture.
  6. Let it cool at room temperature for about 5 minutes to be able to make the chocolate and biscuit sausage.
  7. While it cools, cut a piece of parchment or parchment paper, moisten it a little under the tap. Add the chocolate mixture, roll it up and give it a cylindrical shape until the paper is finished.
  8. Take a piece of transparent film and finish rolling the roller, squeezing it well at the ends and tying it in a knot.
  9. It must be tight and firm so that it takes the shape of a sausage. Put it in the fridge for 3-4 hours or overnight. You can also put it in the freezer to make it faster.
  10. Once cool, remove the transparent film and then the baking paper.
  11. Do this carefully, as it will have stuck, but pulling the paper out works fine.
  12. Put icing sugar on a tray or plate and coat the sausage on all sides so that it looks like the skin of the sausage.
  13. Cut into rather thick slices so it doesn’t break.
  14. So you can present the chocolate sausage to your loved ones and friends to surprise them with a rich and original dessert.
