Ingredients to make Chocolate Glaze:

  • 125 grams of dark chocolate for desserts
  • 25 grams of unsalted butter
  • 100 milliliters of whipping cream or heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons of water

How to make Chocolate Frosting:

  1. Chop the chocolate finely with a very sharp knife. Also chop the butter.
  2. Also prepare the cake, cake or preparation that you want to glaze.
  3. Place the dessert on top of a wire rack with a tray below, as you need to drizzle the chocolate glossy icing on top and some icing will usually run down the sides.
  4. Put the cream or milk cream in a saucepan on the fire and bring it to a boil.
  5. Remove and add the chopped chocolate.
  6. Stir constantly with a spatula to melt all the chocolate in the hot cream.
  7. Add the chopped butter and stir constantly to obtain a lump-free chocolate glaze.
  8. Finally, add the two tablespoons of water and stir quickly, but integrating well.
  9. Pour the plain chocolate glaze over the prepared dessert.
  10. You have to add it directly from the saucepan, letting the frosting fall in the center of the cake and gradually go down the sides.
  11. Once everything is added, help yourself with a spatula, gently covering the sides or places that have not been covered by the chocolate glaze.
  12. Let the chosen cake cool so the frosting dries. You can leave it in the fridge for 30 minutes to cool well.
