Ingredients to make Chocolate Cake with Banana Filling:
- Chocolate cake:
- ½ cup of Sugar (100 grams)
- ¼ cup of cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
- ¾ cup of Milk (180 milliliters)
- ¼ cup Butter (56¼ grams)
- ½ teaspoon of Vanilla Essence
- 1 piece of Egg
- ¼ teaspoon of Salt
- 1 cup of wheat flour (140 grams)
- Banana filling:
- 2 pieces of plantain
How to make Chocolate Cake with Banana Filling:

- We are going to start by sifting the dry ingredientsand placing them in a deep bowl.
- We integrate well the wheat flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt with the help of a balloon.
- Now we will add the liquid ingredients, we start with milk, butter and vanilla, mix everything with the help of a mixer and beat at medium speed for 4 minutes.
- Once all the ingredients are integrated, add the eggand beat again for 2 more minutes until a smooth and homogeneous mixture is obtained, without lumps.
- Next, we grease a mold with butter and sprinkle a little flour, we do this to prevent the cake from sticking and the unmolding process is much easier.
- Once the mold is ready, add the mixture and cook the chocolate cakein the oven at 180°C for about 35 minutes.
- Meanwhile we take advantage to make the banana filling.
- To do this, we slice the bananas into small slices, about 8 millimeters wide, and fry them in a pan with hot oil.
- Once they are ready, remove and let them drain on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
- Once cold, we combine them with the condensed milk and reserve a moment.
- When the cake is ready, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
- Then we take it out of the mold, we wait another 10 minutes to be able to cut it in half, horizontally.
- To assemble the chocolate cake, we place a good layer of banana with condensed milk in the lower half of the cake, spread well covering the entire surface and also add some extra slices of banana.
- We place the other half of the cake and decorate our chocolate cake with a banana filling with icing sugar and some fruit.
