Ingredients to make chocolate and orange cake step by step:
- 1 glass of unsweetened natural yogurt
- 2 cups of wheat flour

- Obtaining the measurements to prepare our chocolate cake is very easy, as it is a yogurt cake, we will use the yogurt glass to measure the rest of the ingredients. This means that the measuring “glass” will be the same glass of yogurt, whatever its size.

- Bearing this in mind, we begin by beating the yolks with the sugar until they double their size, this process is known as blanching. We reserve the whites.
- Then, we add the yogurt along with the oil and continue beating until the ingredients are fully integrated. To finish with the mixture of liquid ingredients, add the orange juice, the zest and beat again until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
- Next we are going to incorporate the dry ingredients. Then sift the wheat flour along with the cocoa and baking powder. Go adding this to the mixture little by little and beating constantly so that lumps form.
- If you want to prevent the chocolate and orange cake from sticking together, it is very important to mix each of the mixtures well, first the liquid ones and then the dry ones.
- Finally, and to give that sponge touch to our orange and chocolate cake, you must mount the egg whites until stiff with a pinch of salt. When you have them, add them to the bowl with the cake batter and gently beat with encircling movements until integrated.
- Prepare a mold by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it with a little butter or oil and pour the previous mixture into it.
