Chinese fish dumplings recipe

Ingredients to make Chinese fish dumplings:

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 10 grams of Parsley
  • 300 grams of Sole
  • 16 pieces of dim-sum wafers (rice paper)
  • 50 milliliters of soy sauce
  • 10 grams of sugar
  • 10 milliliters of olive oil
  • 2 lettuce leaves

How to make Chinese Fish Dumplings:

Wash, peel and chop very well: the onion, the garlic, the sole and the tomato. With the ingredients ready, the first thing will be to make the filling for the Chinese dumplings. So, sauté the onion and garlic for about 2 minutes. When they are golden, add the sole and the tomato. Add a little parsley and stir well. We let it cook for 5 minutes.

Apart, in a pot, put the sugar and soy sauce, mix well and let it melt over low heat for 3 minutes. When the sugar melts, we will have a creamier sauce.

When we have the fish filling and sauce ready, we will go on to assemble the famous dim sum. To do this, we put a little of the filling on the rice wafers and close them well, marking the edges with a fork.

Put a few drops of oil in the pan and pass the dim sum very carefully so they don’t break.  When the Chinese dumplings are golden, we add a little water to finish cooking. We leave them 3 minutes. On a plate, we put the dim sum and cover with a little sauce. We can also add a little lettuce salad. And the dim-sum are finished!

Chinese fish dumplings are very easy to make and if you want, you can combine them with other flavorful Asian dishes such as the famous fortune cookies or sweet and sour Chinese salad.
