Chiloé gold liquor

Ingredients to make Gold Liqueur from Chiloé:

  • 1 l raw milk
  • 1 l lukewarm boiled water
  • 1 l 90 degree alcohol
  • 1 kg granulated sugar or in loaves
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 10 cloves
  • 2 branches of vanilla
  • 1 pinch saffron

How to make Gold Liqueur from Chiloé:

  1. All the ingredients of the gold liquor are placed together in a glass pot for 8 days (in maceration), taking care to stir daily so that the sugar dissolves and all the ingredients are mixed.
  2. After the eighth day it is filtered and bottled.
  3. Serve Chiloé gold liquoras an aperitif in small glasses as is typically done in southern Chile.
