Chilean Crudo Recipe

This Chilean crude recipe is the heritage of German immigrants in Chile, it is also known as German steak and it is a preparation made with raw beef and lemon. In general, it is preferred to use lean meat, preferably black or pink post.

The most common presentation of this dish is in the form of a cup to resemble a spread, since it is normally accompanied by toast. It should not have a trace of fat and the ideal is to achieve a meat paste that is easy to spread.

Ingredients to make Chilean Crudo:

• 250 grams of ground beef

• 1 unit of onion

• 1 cup lemon juice

• 1 sprig of parsley

• 1 teaspoon salt

• 1 tablespoon of mustard

• 1 teaspoon of pepper

How to make Chilean Crudo:

Soften the meat by kneading it a little and spread it out in a bowl. Wash the onion and parsley, then cut them as small as you can. Add all the ingredients to the meat and mix them well with each other with encircling movements, you can do it with a spoon or by kneading. Refrigerate 1 hour or more. To serve, shape the meat with a cup or tartar. Accompany with some toast or crackers and enjoy your Chilean crude!
