Chickpeas with Spinach Recipe

Ingredients to make Chickpeas with spinach:

  • 300 gr. chickpeas
  • 500 gr. fresh spinach
  • 200 gr. crushed tomato
  • 30 grams of almonds
  • 1 slice of bread
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt

How to make Chickpeas with Spinach:

1 Cook the chickpeas after having soaked them in water with bicarbonate of soda. Fry the bread with 5 tablespoons of very hot oil. Remove it when it is golden. Remove a little oil from the pan and fry the finely chopped onion in it.

2 Once sautéed, add the crushed tomato and cook slowly. Once cooked, drain the chickpeas and mix them with the sauce. In another pan with the rest of the hot oil, add the paprika and spinach. Sauté 5 minutes.

3 Prepare the chopped almonds, bread and garlic. Add the spinach and chopped chickpeas. Cook with the casserole covered for 15 minutes and add broth if necessary.
