Chickpea stew with Spinach and Octopus Recipe

Ingredients to make Chickpea Stew with Spinach and Octopus:

  • 1 can of cooked chickpeas (400 g)
  • 200 grams of frozen spinach
  • 100 grams of cooked octopus
  • 1 fish bouillon cube
  • 1 teaspoon sweet smoked paprika
  • 1 splash of white wine
  • 1 splash of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Chickpea Stew with Spinach and Octopus:

1 Take the spinach out of the freezer early enough. If we prefer we can use fresh spinach, in which case we must wash and clean them. In a frying pan put a splash of extra virgin olive oil and put it on the fire. Add the thawed and drained spinach and sauté.

2 After five minutes, add the shredded fish stock cube, the smoked paprika and a splash of white wine. Remove and let cook.

3 We split the octopus and add it to the pan to continue with the preparation of the spinach stew with octopus.

4 While we sauté the octopus with the spinach, we open and drain the pot of chickpeas. We wash them very well with water to remove the remains of the liquid that preserves them and add them to the pan.

5 Cover with water, cover and let cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. If necessary, adjust the salt.
