Ingredients to make Chickpea Stew with Serrano Ham:
- 100g pumpkin
- 2 potatoes
- 500g chickpeas
- 1/2 chicken
- Salt
- 1 type of Serrano ham
- 1 turnip
- 100g carrots
- 100g bacon
- 1 stick of celery
- 250g black pudding
How to make Chickpea Stew with Serrano Ham:
- Let the chickpeas soak to soften for 12 – 24 hours before use.
- In a large saucepan, with cold water, put all the meats and bring to a boil.
- Throw away that water and wash the meats. Put them back in the pan with the previously peeled and washed vegetables.
- Cover with cold water, bring to a boil and add the chickpeas.
- Lower the heat and let it cook until the chickpeas are tender, approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Strain the broth, serve as consommé or soup and accompany the chickpeas with the vegetables and meats.
