Chickpea and Green Bean Pesto Salad Recipe

Ingredients to make Chickpea and Green Bean Pesto Salad:

  • 1 can of cooked chickpeas
  • 300 grams of green beans
  • 20 grams of pine nuts
  • 40 grams of Parmesan cheese
  • 100 milliliters of olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 bunch of fresh basil
  • 1 pinch of ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Chickpea and Green Bean Pesto Salad:

To make this chickpea and green bean pesto salad we must gather all the ingredients. While we cut the green beans, we put water to boil in a pot. When the water boils, season with a little salt and add the green beans. The cooking time for them to be al dente is 5 to 7 minutes.

To prepare the sauce for our salad, add the pine nuts, garlic, fresh basil, Parmesan cheese and olive oil to the blender jar. Blend until you get a smooth pesto sauce. Wash and drain the cooked chickpeas and place them in a salad bowl. Add the green beans once drained and cooled, season with salt and pepper. Finally, we add the pesto sauce to our chickpea and green bean salad
