Chicken Soup Recipe

Ingredients to make Chicken Soup:

  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 kilogram of chicken
  • 2 liters of water
  • 100 grams of onion
  • 1 unit of Carrot
  • 1 unit of Leek
  • 125 grams of pasta noodles for soup
  • 1 sprig of rosemary
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • 1 bay leaf

How to make Chicken Soup:

1.The first step in making this chicken soup recipe is to clean and cut the chicken into pieces. We can cut it into eighths or into smaller pieces, but that does not matter since we will later crumble them when they are cooked. And then we put the chicken in a pot or casserole.

2.Next, we clean the vegetables, peel them and add them whole to the pan along with the chicken, rosemary, bay leaf and thyme.

3.Then we cover enough with water (about 2 liters and a half of water) and put the whole to cook for 2 hours over low heat, extracting the fat from time to time with the help of a slotted spoon. If we cook it in a pressure cooker with 30 minutes of cooking it will be enough.

4.After a while, we remove the chicken before it falls apart and shred it to taste to accompany the chicken soup. The rest of the cooked chicken that we do not put in the soup, we can save it to make some cooked croquettes.

5.Next, we strain the chicken broth and we can either shred all the vegetables or cut them into slices and add them to the strained broth along with the shredded chicken.

6.Now all that remains is to cook the noodles for about 5-7 minutes in the chicken broth, season it with salt and pepper to taste, and we will be able to enjoy our very hot homemade chicken soup.
