Chicken Sopes Recipe

Ingredients to make Chicken Sopes:

  • ½ kilogram of corn dough for tortillas
  • 50 milliliters of oil
  • Filling
  • 1 piece of chicken breast without skin or bone
  • 1 liter of water
  • ½ piece of white onion
  • 4 grams of salt
  • 250 grams of refried beans
  • 100 grams of grated fresh cheese
  • 150 milliliters of sour cream
  • 100 grams of Romaine lettuce

How to make Chicken Sopes:

1 Cook the breast in water and add onion and salt. Once ready, unravel and reserve.

2 To prepare our chicken sopes you have to form balls of dough of about 20-25 grams. Put them between two plastic sheets and compact with your hands to form a tortilla about 10 centimeters wide by approximately 5 millimeters thick.

3 Put them in a hot pan and let them cook on both sides, remove and reserve.

4 To form the Mexican sopes, help yourself with your fingers and press the entire edge, in the form of a “pinch”, until an edge is formed.

5 Heat the oil in a pan and fry the Mexican sopes on both sides, remove and reserve.

6 To serve our chicken sopes, place some refried beans, shredded chicken, sliced ​​lettuce, grated cheese and a little sour cream on top of the scope. You can also add Pico de Gallo or guacamole. Enjoy them!
