Chicken Macaroni and Gorgonzola Cheese Recipe

The macaroni with cream chicken and cheese that we are going to prepare with this easy recipe are a pasta dish that will be liked by adults and children alike and best of all, you can eat them at any time, and it does not matter if it is summer or winter. The possibilities to prepare these gratin macaroni are endless depending on the ingredients we want to use.

The recipe that I am sharing today is a healthy and rich way to prepare macaroni that will delight those who like cheese and eat well but at the same time watch their figure.

Ingredients to make Macaroni with Chicken and Gorgonzola Cheese:

  1. 250 grams of macaroni
  2. 200 grams of cooked chicken breast cold meat
  3. 3 teaspoons old Dijon mustard
  4. 1 teaspoon of Thyme
  5. 1 teaspoon of Nutmeg
  6. 100 grams of sweet gorgonzola cheese
  7. 200 milliliters of Cream for cooking
  8. 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
  9. 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  10. 1 pinch of salt
  11. 100 grams of grated cheese

How to make Chicken Macaroni and Gorgonzola Cheese:

  • First we cook the macaroni. Heat the water in a saucepan and when it starts to boil add the macaroni and cook until they are done but not too soft.
  • Pour into a colander, add cold water and let it drain. We booked.
  • On the other hand we make the chicken sauce. So, we cut the chicken and the gorgonzola cheese into small cubes. Put the well-drained macaroni in a wide skillet, add the chicken and cheese and mix well.
  • Season the mixture by adding the mustard, pepper, garlic, and nutmeg, thyme, salt and cream. We mix everything again and put on the fire until the cheese melts. Moving frequently so it doesn’t stick.
  • Trick: The old Dijon mustard can be substituted for the original one that does not have the mustard seeds
  • To finish making our macaroni gratin with chicken, we pour everything into a suitable baking dish, sprinkle with grated cheese on top and cook in the preheated oven at 180ºCfor about 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the oven, wait a few minutes and then serve. Enjoy this delicious dish of chicken macaroni and gorgonzola cheese and serve first a traditional Caesar salad to make a perfect meal!
