Ingredients to make Paella with chicken and vegetables:
- 1 splash of olive oil
- 2 cups of rice
- 500 grams of Clams
- 500 grams of Prawns
- 750 grams of Chicken
- 1 unit of onion
- 2 units of green pepper
- 1 unit of red pepper
- 2 sachets of Garlic
- 100 grams of Peas
- 1 unit of tomato
- 1 unit of Lemon
- 1 pinch of Saffron
- 1 pinch of black pepper
- 1 handful of salt
How to make Chicken and Vegetable Paella:
- We start by washing our hands very well, put on the kitchen hat and mess.
- To wash the clams, soak them halfway in a small pot of water.
- Leave them for about 5 minutes so that it removes all the dirt that may be inside.
- Once the earth has been removed, rinse well and place in a frying pan with a little oil over medium heat. Sauté the clams until they open, finally add a little salt.
- Once the clams are prepared, we take the chopped chicken meat and put it in the pan with a little oil.
- Sauté the chicken for approximately 10 minutes and stir from time to time over medium heat. On the other hand we put the prawns in a pot for 10 – 15 minutes, until they are cooked.
- While the meat is cooking and the prawns are cooking, we are preparing the vegetables.
- Cut the onion, the two cloves of garlic, the tomato, the green pepper and the red pepper into very small cubes.
- Cut part of the red pepper into several thin strips to add it at the end.
- Remove the meat from the heat and place it on a tray.
- With the same oil as the meat, cook the refried food over high heat for about 3 minutes.
- Add the garlic cloves and the peas to the whole sauce.
- Once finished, add the meat and 2 cups of rice so that it takes on the flavor of all the refried food for at least 8 – 10 minutes over low heat.
- Remove the prawns from the pot and peel them, add the broth to the saucepan, add black pepper and salt.
- Cook everything for about 25-30 minutes.
- When only 10 minutes remain, add the clams and prawns.
- Leave everything on low heat for the remaining 10 minutes.
- Take the red pepper strips and fry them over high heat for a few minutes, while they are frying, cut the lemon into slices and add it to the surface of the paella with chicken and vegetables. TAKE ADVANTAGE!
