Chicken and Shrimp Soup Recipe

Ingredients to make Chicken and Shrimp Soup:

  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1 1/2 liters of water
  • 1 tbsp. coarse salt
  • 250 g of clean and fresh shrimp
  • 25 ml of vegetable oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 shallots, thinly sliced
  • 1 finely chopped leek
  • 1 stalk of celery finely chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • To decorate
  • Lemon slices

How to make Chicken and Shrimp Soup:

  1. In a pot with the water and salt, bring the chicken breast to a boil together with the leek, celery and bay leaf.
  2. When the breast is cooked, remove it with a slotted spoon and let it cool.
  3. Heat the oil in a Teflon pot, when it is very hot, lower the flame and brown the garlic and shallot there, immediately add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper and fry for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour the broth, cover and cook over low heat until it boils.
  5. Chop the chicken breast and add it to the soup.
  6. Remove and discard the bay leaf and serve garnished with a lemon wedge.
