FoodsDiary By FoodsDiary

The term brochette refers to small portions of food, such as protein and vegetables, skewered on a long stick. Proteins such as fish, beef or chicken are usually inserted. The recipe for chicken and prawn skewers is very easy to prepare and is ideal to serve during Valentine’s dinner, since you can surprise your partner.

Ingredients to make Chicken and Prawn Skewers:

  • 1 unit of chicken breast
  • 4 units of prawns
  • 50 grams of white onion
  • 50 grams of red pepper
  • 100 grams of Pesto
  • 50 milliliters of sunflower oil
  • 4 units of Mushrooms
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

How to make Chicken and Prawn Skewers:

1 Before making this recipe for Valentine’s Day, the first step is to get all the ingredients ready.

2 Cut the chicken breast into medium cubes, season with salt and pepper and seal in a frying pan over medium heat until golden brown, this step is done first because the cooking of the chicken is slower than that of the prawns.

3 Assemble the skewer with the red pepper, the onion cut into medium squares, the shelled prawns, the mushrooms cut in half and the chicken cubes. Season with salt and pepper and grill with a little oil so that the ingredients cook well.

4 Brush with the pesto every 2 minutes until the chicken and prawns are golden brown and fully cooked, cooking lasts approximately 6 minutes. If you want to know how to make homemade pesto sauce, check out this recipe.

5 Once the chicken skewer with prawns is ready, serve and enjoy. This recipe is ideal to serve as an appetizer or for dinner.
