Chicken and mussels Paella recipe

Ingredients to make Paella with chicken and mussels:

  • 400 gr. of rice
  • 1/2 chicken in pieces
  • 500 gr. of mussels
  • 250 gr. of clean squid
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • a bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup of fried tomatoes
  • 1 can of peas
  • 1 liter of beef broth
  • garlic cloves
  • saffron
  • parsley
  • oil
  • Salt

How to make Chicken and Mussels Paella:

  1. Open the steamed mussels, remove the seeds from the green paprika and cut it into strips. Heat 8 tablespoons of oil in the pan, fry the pepper and remove it. Add the chicken, fry it and remove it, fry the squid and remove it, then add the tomato and rice, sauté well and water with the boiling broth (double the volume of rice). Season.
  2. Crush the garlic, parsley and saffron in a mortar. Add them diluted in a little broth, to the paella pan, together with the peas, squid, chicken and green pepper, cook for 20 minutes and before all the broth is finished, place the mussels and the strips of bell pepper on top, let stand 5 minutes covered with a damp cloth before serving
