Ingredients to make Chicken and Ham Cannelloni:
- ½ kilogram of flour for the dough
- 1 teaspoon of Salt for the dough
- 2 teaspoons of Oil for the dough
- 3 units of Eggs for the dough
- 1 cup of Water for the dough
- 1 unit of Chicken for the filling
- 300 grams of cooked ham for the filling
- ½ cup of grated cheese for the filling
- 1 can of white sauce for the filling
- 2 units of Onions for the filling
- 50 grams of Butter for the filling
- 1 teaspoon of Parsley for the filling
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of Pepper for the filling
How to make Chicken and Ham Cannelloni:
- Place the flour on the table in the shape of a ring and put the salt, oil and eggs in the center.
- Combine all the ingredients adding the necessary water. Knead the bun vigorously on the table until it is airy and smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into 3 or 4 buns, cover them and let them rest for 1/2 hour on the table.
- Roll them out one at a time, giving them a rectangular shape and leaving them thin as for noodles.
- Cut them into rectangles of the desired size.
- Cook them little by little in plenty of salted water and when they are translucent, drain them with a slotted spoon and pass them through a large saucepan with cold water.
- This way they won’t stick together.
- Filling and finishing: Fry the onions in the butter.
- Place them in the food processor or blender along with the skinless and chopped chicken breast and the cooked ham.
- Process until you gets a paste. Transfer to a bowl and mix with the grated cheese, the thick white sauce and the chopped parsley.
- Season with salt and pepper. Drain the cinnamon from the water and pass them through the grated cheese.
- Distribute a thick codon of filling on the base of each cannelloni and roll up.
- Place in a baking dish without stacking them, cover with the medium white sauce, sprinkle with cheese and sprinkle with pieces of butter.
- Gratin in a very hot oven.
- Before taking to the table, sprinkle each cannelloni with a line of very hot sauce.
