Chicken and Avocado Apple Salad Recipe

The chicken and apple salad with avocado that we share below is a perfect dish for dinner, since it contains ingredients suitable for ending the day, healthy and very nutritious. Of course, if you are immersed in a strict diet to lose weight, or you plan to start it, this is not the most appropriate dish, since although its ingredients contain what is called “good fats”, all of them can get to exceed the number of calories indicated by your nutritionist. In this way, it is a healthy recipe, recommended to keep fit and follow a balanced diet, but not to lose a lot of weight.

  • 1 small avocado
  • ½ piece of red or green apple
  • 2 chicken breast fillets
  • 6 cherry tomatoes
  • 6 almonds
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 splash of olive oil
  • 1 piece of Parmesan cheese (optional)

How to make Apple Avocado Chicken Salad:

To make this delicious avocado and chicken salad, we recommend selecting a ripe avocado, although if you prefer a green one you can also use it. Thus, the first step is to peel the avocado, remove the bone and cut it into cubes of the same size. Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half. This ingredient, in addition to providing flavor, gives the avocado salad with apple and chicken a very striking color, ideal for serving it during a meal with friends to capture their attention and offer a complete dish.

Then, we wash the apple and cut it into cubes the same size as the avocado, or into slices. As you can see, we have opted for both ways: we have cut the fruit into squares and, in addition, into slices to decorate the salad. Likewise, although we have preferred to leave the skin, you can remove it if you want. However, it should be noted that the most beneficial properties of this fruit, such as fiber, are preserved in the skin.

Besides, we cut the chicken breast into strips or cubes, whichever we like the most, and we cook it on the grill with a little oil. To keep fit and make a healthy chicken and avocado salad, it is best to follow this cooking method, or cook the meat boiled. Don’t fry!
