Ingredients to make chestnut broth:
- 500 grams of chestnuts
- 1 unit of Onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 4 tablespoons of chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon of Vinegar
- 1 glass of oil
- 1 piece of Bacon
- ½ unit of pork ear
- 1 pinch of salt
- Water
How to make chestnut broth:
1.Peel the chestnuts and cook them in salted water, letting them come to a boil. They drain and peel.
2.Put the whole onion, the clove of garlic, the piece of bacon and the ear and the peeled chestnuts in plenty of clean water.
3.It is left to cook for a few hours until everything is well cooked and a sauce made with the oil and chopped onion is added, to which a few drops of vinegar are added, which gives it a very good flavor.
4.The pork can be eaten after the broth with some boiled potatoes or chop it up and eat it with the chestnuts.
5.And in the liquid of the broth make some soups with bread, pouring the boiling broth into a bowl containing very finely cut pieces of bread.
6.Note: The pork must be desalted in water beforehand and you can add an egg yolk when serving the hot chestnut broth .
