A salad is always a healthy option to accompany our meals or as a single dish at dinner. We learn how to prepare it with cherry tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, accompanying it with nuts that are very beneficial for our heart (although highly caloric, so they must be taken with measure). I invite you to put on your apron and prepare this cherry tomato and mozzarella salad that I am sure will leave a good taste in your mouth.
Ingredients to make cherry tomato and mozzarella salad:
- 250 grams of cherry tomatoes
- 125 grams of mozzarella pearls
- 60 grams of pitted green olives
- 1 can of mackerel in oil
- 1 handful of walnuts
- 1 handful of salad seeds
- 1 splash of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 splash of vinegar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of minced garlic
How to make Cherry Tomato and Mozzarella Salad:
Wash and dry the cherry tomatoes. Next, we cut them in half and put them in a large bowl to continue with the preparation of the mozzarella salad. Drain the mackerel, crumble it a little (leaving large pieces) and add it to the tomato.
Trick: You can put the seeds that you like the most.
Add the olives and a handful of salad seeds (sunflower seeds, pumpkin and pine nuts). We make a dressing with oil, vinegar, salt and ground garlic and pour it over the cherry tomato salad. Stir well to mix.
Finally, we split the nuts and roughly chop them with our hands. We add them to the salad along with the drained mozzarella pearls.
We serve the cherry tomato and mozzarella salad immediately so that the nuts do not soften. And second, we suggest pork ribs baked with garlic and parsley or cod comfit. Bon Appetite!
