A little pre-cooked cornmeal and salty cheese, all you need is that to create this wonderful raisin, and cornmeal goes a long way, so don’t think about it anymore and put on your apron to prepare these delicious and crunchy little balls. Corn with cheese.

Ingredients to make Cheesy Corn Balls:

  • 2 cups of corn flour (240 grams)
  • 1 cup of grated cheese
  • ½ cup of water (120 milliliters)
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil

How to make Cheesy Corn Balls:

To make the dough for our corn balls, in a bowl add the precooked flour and the grated cheese, mix until well incorporated with the flour.

For this recipe you can use salty white cheese or any type of fresh cheese. It is also valid to use yellow flour if you prefer. We are adding water little by little while we knead and bind the ingredients. The idea is to get a soft and compact dough. Then we form the balls by separating small pieces of dough and shaping it with our hands. It’s best to make them small, bite-sized, but you can make them any size you like. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan and fry the corn balls until golden brown on all sides. Remove on a plate with an absorbent napkin to remove excess oil. Serve the corn balls with cheese piping hot and enjoy. You can offer this dish as a snack, snacks or appetizer when you have visits or meetings.
