Ingredients to make gnocchi stuffed with cheese:

  1. 400 grams of potato or sweet potato
  2. 6 tablespoons of flour 000
  3. 1 dessert spoon of nutmeg
  4. 60 grams of fresh cheese
  5. 1 egg

How to make Cheese Stuffed Gnocchi:

  • To start preparing these stuffed gnocchi, wash and pierce the potato or sweet potato. Microwave for about 5 minutes on each side.
  • Tip: if you don’t have a microwave, cook it with its skin in boiling water until when you poke it you notice that it is soft. This way, it will absorb less water than if you peeled it and boiled it in cubes.
  • Being careful not to burn you, peel the potato and mash it with a fork to form a puree. Season it with the nutmeg and let it cool.
  • Once it is cold, add the egg and half of the flour, that is, 3 tablespoons. Mix it and check if you have already achieved malleable dough, if you have not, you can add the rest of the flour.
  • Divide the dough in 4 and stretch it with the help of your hands to form rolls.
  • Cut each roll into squares of similar size. Take each one, add a little piece of fresh cheese in the center and close it with the palms of your hands to assemble the round and stuffed gnocchi.
  • When you have your entire gnocchi ready, place a pot and bring it to a boil with plenty of water. Cook the gnocchi.
  • Cook them in boiling water making sure not to overlap them so they don’t stick together. When they float, they will be ready.
  • Serve your gnocchi with the sauce you have chosen and, if it is the 29th of the month, do not forget to put silver under the plate to respect tradition. To eat!
