Cheese and Tomato Toast Recipe

In this recipe we are going to make some delicious tapas with toasted bread that are very simple to prepare. We will use cherry tomatoes, cheese and basil, a simple combination with a flavor that will surprise you. Cheese and tomato toasts are perfect to delight your guests at home in an afternoon or simply have something different for a snack.

Ingredients to make cheese and tomato toast:

  • 1 unit of baguette bread
  • 1 jar of cream cheese
  • 1 bunch of fresh basil
  • 1 handful of cherry tomato
  • 1 pinch of garlic paste
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil

How to make Cheese and Tomato Tostadas:

Our first step in making this easy appetizer is to pre-list the ingredients. Bring a skillet to medium heat with the teaspoon of olive oil and once hot, add the cherry tomatoes in hulls, salt, black pepper and a little garlic paste. Sauté well. Turn off the heat and add some fresh basil leaves to flavor our recipe for toast with cheese and tomato.

Now cut the loaf of bread diagonally so that when it’s time to serve it has a different shape on the plate. Add a little butter and take it to the oven to toast until you get the desired color. Remove from the oven and with the help of a spreader, add a little cream cheese on each of the baguette toasts. Add a little of the sautéed tomatoes on top and decorate with a fresh basil leaf, this will give a different and sophisticated touch to our preparation. Enjoy the cheese and tomato toasts and if you want other gourmet appetizers you can try the toasts with surimi.
