Cheese and Tomato Balls Recipe

What an easy and successful appetizer I bring you this time. These are goat cheese and Philadelphia balls stuffed with cherry tomatoes, a combination of tomato and cheese accompanied by rich aromatic herbs and spices that will not leave you indifferent.

The best thing is that you can prepare these cheese and tomato balls ahead of time and ready to eat whenever you feel like it, to have as an aperitif or as a starter. Although summer is when we are most encouraged to eat these cold starters, any time of the year is ideal to enjoy it.

Ingredients to make Tomato Cheese Balls:

  • 150 grams of Philadelphia cream cheese
  • 150 grams of goat cheese
  • 100 grams of ground almond
  • 1 bunch of small chives
  • 2 dessert spoons of sweet paprika
  • 12 cherry tomatoes

How to make Tomato Cheese Balls:

To make our cheese and tomato balls, first we will put the two types of cheese in a bowl and mix it with the help of a fork. Reserve. Then, we will put half of the ground almonds together with the chopped chives in a bowl. Crush with the help of a blender until the almonds have colored. Remove with a spoon and reserve.

Trick: We can replace the chives with basil, mint, parsley…

In another bowl, we will put the other half of the ground almonds together with the paprika and grind. Mix with a spoon and reserve.

Tip: We can also substitute the sweet paprika for a spicy one, for paprika or for spelled pepper. Line the cherry tomatoes with the mixture of the two cheeses, forming round balls of cheese and tomato.

If you have leftover tomatoes, you can use them to also make some skewers of cherry tomatoes and fresh cheese, for example. Pass half of the goat and Philadelphia cheese balls through the almond powder with the chives and the other half through the almond powder with the paprika, giving it a round shape.

Serve our cheese and tomato balls pierced on toothpicks and decorated if desired with a few sprigs of mint.
