Cheese and Quince Salad Recipe

The grape, that fruit that announces the approach of autumn has a sweet and fresh flavor, providing multiple beneficial effects for the body. Currently only a small percentage of the world grape production (10%) is used as table fruit, and the rest is used in the production of wine and must. The most appropriate time to taste the best grains is at the end of September and during the fall. Without a doubt, it is a delicious fruit to consume alone or as an ingredient in a fruit salad or a smoothie. Likewise, its sweet flavor enriches any type of salad and combines especially with cheese. Both ingredients make an excellent accompaniment to meat, poultry or fish dishes, especially in the form of a sauce.

  • 150 grams of Grapes
  • 8 Tomatoes

How to make Cheese and Quince Salad:

Before starting with the recipe for the grape and quince salad, it should be noted that the feta cheese can be substituted for another, although I recommend that it be one with a strong flavor so that it contrasts with the grape and quince. That said, we wash the grapes. If you want, we can peel them, as well as remove the seeds with a small knife, cutting them in half.

We chop the lettuce leaves with our hands and distribute them on the plates that we are going to use to serve the cheese and quince salad.

Add the grapes, the tomatoes, the cheese and the diced quince. How good does this grape salad look, so full of color, right? To make the salad vinaigrette, toast the sesame seeds in a pan without oil.

When they are cold, place them in a bowl with the rest of the vinaigrette ingredients, add a pinch of salt and pepper and beat vigorously with a fork or a whisk until you obtain an emulsified sauce.

Dress the cheese and quince salad with this vinaigrette sauce and serve. It is a truly spectacular dish, worthy of a gourmet menu and perfect for autumn and winter parties, such as Christmas, coming from the traditional stuffed turkey or stuffed chicken. In fact, we recommend its preparation to say goodbye to the year or to welcome the next one, since its contrast of flavors and textures will surprise all the guests.
