This time we are going to prepare a cauliflower cream, a soft and light starter. It is a delicious cauliflower and potato cream ideal to start a meal or for a light dinner.

Cauliflower is a vegetable that you either like or you hate, since the smell is very characteristic and you don’t like it many times, but since I tried it in cream, I like it a lot and at home I like it that way too. In addition, it is an easy, smooth and creamy cauliflower cream recipe that we will have ready in no time, so… let’s get to work!

Ingredients to make Cauliflower Cream:

  • 1 cauliflower (500 grams approx.)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 potato
  • 100 milliliters of cooking cream or heavy cream
  • 1 splash of oil
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Cream of Cauliflower:

  1. We prepare the ingredients. Cut the florets of cauliflower and clean under the tap with cold water.
  2. Tip: You can also make cauliflower and potato cream with frozen cauliflower.
  3. Cut the onion into pieces. Put a pan with a splash of oil, add the onion and let it brown.
  4. Add together with the onion, the cauliflower florets and the potatoes, peeled and cut into pieces. Cover with water, add a little salt and let cook until everything is very soft.
  5. We passed all the cauliflower and potato cream through the blender until it is a very fine cream.
  6. Put the cauliflower cream on the fire and add the liquid cream and stir, until everything is well integrated. We taste salt and rectify.
  7. And ready to serve the very hot cauliflower cream!
