If you have an intolerance or allergy to gluten, here is a recipe that will allow you to eat pizza without having to eat gluten. The base that we will use will be made of cauliflower; you will see that the result is surprising. Follow the steps step by step to make the recipe right.
Ingredients to make Cauliflower Base Pizza Dough:
- 1 small cauliflower
- 150 gr. grated mozzarella and other cheese
- a pinch of salt
- 1 egg
How to make Cauliflower-Based Pizza Dough:
- The ingredients are only from the dough, the filling is to taste of each one. Wash and grate the cauliflower. Once grated, transfer it to a microwave-safe container and cook at maximum power for 7-8 minutes.
- Take the cauliflower out of the microwave, being careful not to burn you, and let it cool slightly. Next, drain the cauliflower a little because it will have released a lot of water after cooking. Add the mozzarella, a pinch of salt and the egg. Mix everything well.
- Place a parchment paper on the baking tray and pour the cauliflower dough into the desired shape. (Maybe you have dough left over). Bake for approximately 20 minutes at 180°. The base of the cauliflower pizza should be golden, do not take it raw!
- Place the tomato and mozzarella or chosen cheese on top and the other ingredients that we like. In my case, turkey breast, green pepper and fresh mushrooms. Sprinkle with oregano and bake about 5 minutes at the temperature just above.
- I put the tomato on top because in this case I forgot to put it on the bottom, but it’s just as delicious. To eat!!!
