Cassava and Cheese Croquettes Recipe

Ingredients to make Cassava and Cheese Croquettes:

  • 1 medium Yuca unit
  • 150 grams of flour
  • 100 milliliters of milk
  • 1 unit of Egg
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 1 cup of mozzarella cheese

How to make Cassava and Cheese Croquettes:

1 Get all the ingredients ready for these delicious yucca croquettes.

2 Peel and cook the yucca in boiling water for 45 minutes or until completely soft.

3 When the yucca is very soft, we place it in a bowl and crush it with our hands until we obtain small pieces.

4 Add the egg along with the milk, salt and pepper to continue with the preparation of the homemade croquettes.

5 Add the flour and grated cheese, knead until you have a compact dough, this will stick a little in your hands. You can use a mixture of cheeses for pizza.

6 Form balls using a little extra flour. Make them the size you prefer, but we recommend making them a medium size, not too big so that they cook well when frying and not too small either because they can open during cooking.

7 Fry the yucca and cheese croquettes in abundant hot oil until they are completely golden. Taste with sauce of our choice.
