Carob cake recipe

Ingredients to make carob cake:

  • 1 glass of skimmed natural yogurt without sugar
  • 1 glass of carob flour
  • 4 units of Egg
  • 1 packet of royal yeast
  • 1 glass of Oil
  • 1 glass of sugar
  • 2 glasses of flour

How to make carob cake:

  1. In a large bowl we put the egg yolks, yogurt, sugar, oil and beat well with a hand rod.
  2. Add the flour together with the yeast sifted through a large strainer. We mix again well.
  3. Now we add the measure of carob flour and mix again very well until everything is well integrated.
  4. Beat the egg whites until stiff with a pinch of salt to make them firm and when they are ready, add them to the mixture carefully, integrating everything slowly. You will see that it remains like a mousse.
  5. Now we grease a mold with butter. I have used this cookie tin that I later use to store the cake and line it with aluminum so that it does not taste like a tin.
  6. Pour the mixture and put in the oven at 180º on the middle rack for about thirty-five minutes until we insert a metal toothpick and it comes out dry
