Capers salad recipe with pesto sauce

In the purest Italian style, I have prepared these incredible and simple capers salad that I share to give it an aromatic and fresh touch, I have seasoned it with pesto sauce, also of Italian origin.

The capers salad with pesto sauce is perfect to serve as a starter during a meal with friends, or as a light dinner when we don’t really feel like cooking, since it takes less than 15 minutes to prepare. Read on, learn how to make this fresh salad with me, and let me know what you think.

Ingredients to make capers salad with pesto sauce:

  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 large buffalo mozzarella wedge
  • 1 pinch of salt

For the pesto sauce

  • 40 grams of fresh basil leaves
  • 60 milliliters of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 30 grams of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Capers Salad with Pesto Sauce:

To prepare these refreshing and delicious capers salad, get the ingredients ready. Then, make the pesto sauce by blending all the ingredients of it.

Once the pesto sauce is ready, wash the tomatoes and cut them into thin slices, as shown in the photograph.

Cut the fresh mozzarella also into thin slices, trying to make them the same thickness as the tomato slices so that the capers salad is perfect.

Now you have everything ready to assemble the fresh salad! It’s very easy, start from the outside in. First, place a strip of tomato slices around the entire plant. Then, a strip of mozzarella cheese, another of tomato and ends with cheese in the center. Finally, distribute the sauce and add a pinch of salt if you want. It is done!
