- ½ piece of white onion
- 2 pieces of red tomato
- 3 pieces of green jalapeno pepper
- 1 sprig of Coriander
- 1 clove garlic
- 4 tablespoons of oil
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of pepper
- 16 pieces of corn tortilla
How to make canned sardine quesadillas:
We will start preparing these canned sardine quesadillas by gathering the ingredients. We are going to start by finely chopping the onion and garlic, and once they are ready, we take them to fry in a frying pan with a little very hot oil. Once the onion is transparent, add the finely chopped red tomato and jalapeño pepper, and stir to integrate everything perfectly.
Once the red tomato has released its juices, add the pieces of canned sardine along with the finely chopped cilantro, stir again to integrate everything, and add a pinch of salt and pepper to season. Now we take the corn tortillas and fill them with a little of the stew for the fish quesadilla that we have just prepared, then fold the tortilla in half to form the quesadilla and hold it with toothpicks to prevent it from opening.
Now, in a frying pan with the rest of the very hot oil, add our canned sardine quesadillas and let them brown. Once ready, we remove the canned sardine quesadillas from the heat, remove the excess oil with a paper towel and serve them hot. We can accompany them with a rich red tomato and onion salad. Bon Appetite!
