  • 1 cabbage
  • 1 sweet potato
  • 1 kilogram of chicken meat
  • 1 piece of beef or beef
  • 1 piece of pork or pig
  • 1 piece of chicken or chicken carcasses

How to make Canarian Stew:

  1. Get the ingredients for the Canarian stew ready. If you need to make food for more people, you can add more ingredients proportionally.
  2. This time we will make a Canarian stew in an express pot. Fill the pot with water, but not to the brim. Bring the water to a boil and add the chickpeas and meat to cook. Close the pot and cook for 20 minutes.
  3. Cut the carrot and cob into large pieces. You will begin to feel the unmistakable aroma of this vegetable and meat broth, but it is still missing! Add salt, close the pot and continue cooking for 10 minutes.
  4. If the broth is overflowing, you can remove any bones or carcass. This way, you will have enough space to add the rest of the vegetables. Let cook 10 more minutes.
  5. This part is key in the cooking of Canarian stew, it is called “tempering” the stew. Take a couple of garlic cloves and about 5 cloves. Likewise, you can also take saffron or turmeric. Crush all these ingredients and add half a cup of olive oil and half a cup of water to the mixture, integrate well and add it to the broth.
  6. Serve your Canarian stew by placing the ingredients separately: the vegetables and chickpeas on one side and the meat on the other.
