Ingredients to make Canarian banana cake without sugar or sweetener:
- 1 cup of wheat flour (140 grams)
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 2 canarian bananas
- 80 milliliters of milk (⅓ cup)
- 2 tablespoons of butter
How to make Canarian banana cake without sugar or sweetener:
- Peel the bananas, cut them into slices and put them in the blender glass. If you don’t have a blender, make a puree with them.
- Add the eggs to the glass. If you don’t use a blender, beat the eggs with the banana puree.
- Pour in the milk and butter at room temperature or slightly melted. It is important not to use very cold butter so that the dough for the unsweetened Canarian banana cake cooks better.
- Tip:You can also use lactose-free milk.
- Beat at medium speed and add the flour little by little, mixed with the baking powder. Especially if you make the banana cake in a blender, you should add the flour in two or three parts and beat at medium speed.
- Trick: Preheat the oven to 180 ºC with heat up and down.
- When everything is well integrated, pour the dough into the greased mold. We have selected a rectangular mold about 25 cm long, but if you prefer you can use a round mold.
- Tip: If you want, you can add chopped walnuts to the dough in this step.
- Bake the banana cake without sugar or sweetener for 35-40 minutes, using low heat only. Depending on the type of oven, the cake may take a little longer to make, so we recommend being vigilant. On the other hand, after the first 30 minutes, you can activate the heat above.
- Trick: Bake the cake in the center of the oven so that it becomes even.
- Let it cool down to remove it from the mold and serve the sugar-free Canarian banana cake. It is a spongy cake perfect for breakfast or a snack, accompanied by an orange detox juice or an oatmeal smoothie.
