Cake recipe without egg or milk

Ingredients to make Cake without eggs or milk:

  • 120 grams of sugar
  • 40 grams of vegetable oil
  • 100 milliliters of lemon juice
  • 1 envelope of Yeast
  • 150 grams of pastry flour

How to make Cake without eggs or milk:

  1. Before starting to prepare our homemade cake, the first thing will be to gather all the ingredients taking into account that: the vegetable oil can be olive or sunflower, that the juice can be changed to orange juice or if you feel it very strong, you can combine with a little water and finally, that yeast sometimes contains traces of eggs and since we will make a cake without eggs or milk, it is very important that you check the composition of this ingredient carefully before buying it.
  2. As for the preparation, we start by mixing all the ingredients, except the flour and yeast, in a bowl using an electric mixer. Try to integrate everything until the sugar is completely dissolved
  3. Next, we sift the dry ingredients and gradually incorporate them into the dough. We beat until we integrate and get a smooth and homogeneous mass.
  4. Now we pour the mixture into a mold lined with baking paper and cook in the oven at 175ºC for approximately 40 minutes.
  5. The ideal is to place the cake in the middle with heat above and below. If you have a conventional oven, you should make sure that it does not brown too much before it is ready, in which case you can cover it with aluminum foil until you check that the center is cooked.
  6. Tip: Remember not to open the oven during the first 15 minutes of cooking
  7. When ready, remove the cake from the oven without eggs or milk, wait for it to come to room temperature and that’s it, you can unmold and decorate as you like.
